Just like how we thought a single $8 DLC was outrageous less than 10 years ago. Major publishers have teams of hundreds of genius level experts whos only job is to study and research even more ways to add more kinds of DLC into games with as little effort as possible with as much cost as possible. I'm hoping there's going to be a pendulum swing where people just stop enjoying videogames and there's a movement to bring it back to basics. I think that's already happening to some degree, at least on the indie front. I've seriously just stopped playing games like this, and it has nothing to do with money.
