By ignorant I am talking about lack if knowledge about the real dangers of soda. If people knew the entire truth about the dangers of modern soda then they would surely stop drinking it. Also I am sorry that you started drinking it again.

By ignorant I am talking about lack if knowledge about the real dangers of soda. I personally feel most people are uninformed about what soda actually does inside your body. They know that it is unhealthy but not the why or how. And if they do know everything about soda and how it affects the body and they still drink it then they are just dumb

I don't think you understand the "real dangers of soda" if you're describing it as the "real dangers of soda." For starters, nobody has ever gotten so loaded on soda that they lost their inhibition and committed a crime. Nobody has become so drunken on soda that they got behind the wheel of a car and crashed. And, even compared to coffee, it's hard to imbibe enough soda to have an immediate adverse reaction to the caffeine content.

Granted, soda is a caloric beverage and therefore can have a long-term health detriment when not consumed in moderation and when one's diet doesn't account for the additional caloric intake. And, like all sugary drinks and foods, it can damage the teeth. However, it would be ignorant to protest soda while ignoring that alcohol is more prevalent, more dangerous, and addictive.

And, broadly speaking, there are countless foodstuffs which similarly offer a bad ratio of calories compared to nutrients, etc. Given that there are so many unhealthy foods and drinks with similar or worse impact, it's a little weird that you'd single out soda.
