Topic	I don't see how people think the leap from last to current gen wasn't that huge

It's just that the diminishing returns he's talking about is referring to what's clearly visible to people and what games can really do. The jump from PS1 to PS2 for example was graphically huge upon immediate glance and the things video games were capable of doing increased a lot with that extra power.
