The other thing I'll say for the World Series which I didn't think about before tonight is, it's up against a ratings juggernaut almost every day of the week. Anytime one of the games falls on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Thursday it's competing against (theoretically at least) the best marquee matchups the NFL and college football have to offer, and probably losing half their audience to it on some nights. On the other hand the NCAA and NFL do a good job of not overlapping, and the two other championships happen outside of football's dominating months so they have pretty much no competition at all.

Now then, UPDATE- the Astros/Dodgers did about 15 million for the first games of this current Series, which is respectable though not amazing. I'm expecting the numbers to go WAY up after tonight's thriller however, and stay up for the remainder of the series- what a game!
