lmao, how f***ing slow and dense can you be? It was intended to but scrapped BEFORE release. They literally changed the sound effect because it actually had a "hit" sound effect during early play testers. There is no bop sound effect in the final release. The things he was talking about were his sketches. The official artwork which was released during that era had him pointing. Here, since it needs to be spelled out for you, here's the slowed down version of the sprites. Yoshi clearly moves before Mario's hand hits him.

Sorry, not taking your word on any of this when the literal Word. Of. God. says otherwise. You're going to need to post a source staying they changed the sprites and removed to "bop" sound. Nothing in the interview says the animation or sound was changed, only the official explanation.

Take the L, dude. The animation was drawn to depict Mario punching Yoshi. The Word. Of. God says so.

I know you have the critical thinking skills of a grade schooler but word of god has already stated that it was a point. Your latest article is solely about the initial sketches.
It looked like a crocodile, explained Tezuka, who felt like a reptile-looking creature might seem out of place in Mario. Tezuka drew a rough sketch of a cute character and on the basis of that, Hino created Yoshi.

Lots of people think that while Mario is pointing his finger foreward, hes saying Go, and Yoshis tongue comes out, said Hino. However, the set up that I drew was that when Mario punches Yoshi in the head, the characters tongue shoots out in surprise.
Not programmed into animation, drew. Beta sketches and designs have all sorts of crazy stuff. Post proof that they stated that it was made into the final release. And no, the game itself clearly shows him reacting before the hand moves so that's not an option. Don't have anything? I thought so.

And where is Mario saying Go either? There is no "go" in-game. I actually think he's referring to a piece of artwork that initially was planned to have "bop" but the final release had "go". The sound effect in-game is Yoshi licking.
