Topic | Is it worth buying a laptop more than $1,000? |
Soviet_Poland 10/25/17 7:29:25 PM #10: | It really depends what it's for. If you already have a desktop, I'd spring for a cheaper (less than a thousand) ultrabook. They're super slim and the form factor is convenient for things like school or work. I have an asus zenbook and love it. If you want to game on it, you'd probably have to spend at least a thousand. Just know gaming laptops tend to be heavy bricks with poor battery life and become dated pretty fast. You could build a brand new desktop and buy a barebones laptop for the same budget as a gaming laptop and still get more performance/dollar + a device for portability. They do have gaming laptops that are much more powerful or otherwise fit in powerful specs in a smaller form factor, but you'd be spending an arm and a leg. --- "He has two neurons held together by a spirochete." ...
