Not that I deny your claim but we outta compare apples to apples. How does modern vehicles of one type from one brand compare to modern vehicles of the same type from another brand. I feel older vehicles overall mighta been better built compared to modern vehicles. Found this neat little Blog though $1,000 per year seems kinda high unless he is replacing major parts once a year. Motor oil, oil filter, air filter, tires, and wipers normally wouldn't add up that much.
