Can other companies reverse engineer it and create great and balanced match making from it without having to pay activation since it wont work exactly the same? Software patent law is a pain in the ass. So, maybe? But this type of matchmaking would only work for mobile games, which Activision just so happens to be a big part of given they have King. The one aspect I wouldn't be surprised to see is reducing your matchmaking skill rating internally after purchasing an upgrade to reduce immediate buyers remorse. --- If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all ...
