Oh boy. What can be said about this one?

So many gimmicks in one match.

Alright, so the fight starts with it dark, cause of course it does. And they repeatedly make it dark during the fight. And while that is annoying, let's be real. There are many many many fights in gaming (as well as KH) overall where you have take out a sub boss to be able to damage the main boss at all for a limited amount of time. So that alone is fine. How many of those fights howver also had it so the boss even when he was vulnerable, was also invincible in about 85% of the arena? That is this fight.... Oh, guess what, it's also an escort mission. If Jack dies you lose. So, have to take out his dark pet, then you have to get him in the light, while dodging his gun which will 2 hko you. To get up close and personal Where his sword will 2 hit Ko you, AND if you do hit him and do damage to him, you'll probably knock him back OUT of the light, where he is once again invincible. Of course you aren't. So you chase him to try goad him back into the light, but he dodges out because of course he doesn't want to die. Then he finally goes back in, it goes dark, AND YOU DIE!!!!! I hate this fight. Hate hate hate this fight. There are other hard fights, but a lot (not all) a lot of them are at least sorta fun. There is no fun whatsoever in this fight. You will lose in a myriad of ways over and over again.

And yes, there is a way to cheese him. Though it isn't fun either.

If you don't care about item management at all, you can bring 3 or 4 Elixers. Kill the darkness, get him in a light spot, cast blizzard which freezes him, and then just cast it over and over to lock him perpetually.

This is the hardest storyline fight in Vanilla KH II. And it's before the half way point. Originally if you beat this fight you beat the game. There was nothing (except Xaldin, which you get Mickey for) with in a football field of this fight for difficulty.
