Sorry to break up the circlejerk going on, but in what sense are Republicans trying to stop birth control

We can't complain about poor people having children and creating more government dependents and then go out of our way to make it harder for them to not have unwanted children and take more money out of their empty pockets.

Wait, what does this have to do with Republicans preventing people from getting birth control

Are you suggesting that taxpayers not subsidizing something = the government is preventing you from getting that thing?

Um yeah. If someone is getting by thanks to government assistance and they lose that lifeline, then yeah they will probably have an even harder time obraining that thing. You know, with the whole not having money thing. Are you suggesting people can buy things without money?

then they should get a damn job, you can't live off the government your whole life

Yeah. And that doesn't change the fact some people are poor, even if they have a job. We can cut everyone off and wish really hard that they all get good educations and good paying skilled jobs, but I stopped confusing Disney or Hallmark movies with reality years ago. The reality is that there will always be poor people and shunning them is just cutting off your nose to spite your face. But I don't live in the Bioshock universe, so I see more government options than two extremes.
