I mean if you've ever had a dog I think you'd understand they're more than motor functions. Sure you'd stop caring after you're dead, but you still wouldn't agree to be another animal's lunch. It's bad to eat bacon cause 1. you're unnecessarily killing an intelligent being for pleasure and 2. you're indirectly harming other people by supporting an unsustainable industry that has dramatic negative effects on the climate

so what you're saying is that in order for someone to think like you, they need to be emotionally invested into an animal like a dog? that seems quite stupid and not logical. food is food. cattle aren't going to know that they're about to become someone's beef.
