| pegusus123456 10/05/17 3:24:28 AM #8: | Didn't really like it tbh. Weird because I did like the book. Also feel like the flashback scene lost a little impact when you don't see her inner monologue. Adds a lot of complexity with Jesse blaming herself because she arranged and planned things so she'd end up alone with her dad that day, even causing an argument between where parents where her mother states that her dad treats Jesse like his girlfriend instead of his daughter. And then there's a little bit of her getting extremely mild sexual feelings at times ("tingles" she doesn't understand when her dad hugs her the day before the eclipse). Even a moment of spiteful pleasure when he begins to molest her because she's putting one over on her mom (who she doesn't get along with). The dad is also mildly creepier. He tells her what dress she should wear: one that's a size too small and thus barely covers her thighs. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
