St. Louis PD is still a hive of scum and villainy. And no, #NotAllCops are awful. But there sure do seem to be a lot of them between St. Louis and Foolmo's other topic about the NYPD (punctuated by TimJab's pitiful attempts to deflect). We need some goddamn reform. We need accountability for criminal cops and people who relish excessive force. And we need to stop sending fucking military commando trainers on missions to respond to unarmed protests.

This, and its associated impunity for the offenders, is why these protests take place, and take it from me as a guy from Southeast Michigan -- if this doesn't stop, I would not be surprised if we see another '67 style violent rebellion. Same root cause, different era, now with a lot more deadly weapons on both sides. Don't accuse me of wanting it. It's a worst case scenario. But with social media, polarization, a country awash with guns, and racial divisions flaring up again thanks to police brutality, the ingredients for an explosion are there.

There. Now I promise to try not to bring it up again for at least another week.
