Homosexuality was just one of them. I don't think that absolves the US, but it at least explains the vote. Edit: I see this was already explained so nevermind! What I found specifically states it was to condemn death penalty used in the following instances: On minors, pregnant women, adultery, blashpemy, and same-sex unions I wonder which of these we support?
