Which, again, is depression talking, with a touch of his difficulty grasping the concept of moderation. He's externally validated his self-loathing because he's been given that chance, and nobody's prevented him from doing so. Being aggressively unmotivated isn't particularly unusual in depression cases, usually courtesy of the sense that the person is so worthless that there's no point in trying to help them. --- This is my signature.
