Or the books you're reading are some ancient aliens bullshit. Ancient civilizations weren't that advanced. They weren't not advanced either. Almost every situation people have pointed to as evidence of aliens has been thoroughly debunked, half the time by some dude in his backyard with too much time on his hands.

Why are there ancient pyramids everywhere? Because pyramids are easy to make.

How did they build stonehenge? Pile up a bunch of dirt and put rocks on it.

What about those weird orblike rocks that people think are GPS markers or some shit? They don't actually make the 'perfect' lines people claim they do.

Those crystal skull things? Found out to be bullshit.

Just because we may not understand implicitly how someone might have done something 10k years ago doesn't mean aliens did it.
