But here, cooking with dung is typically done when there is no other fuel source for a fire available, and in this case, the scarcity will be so bad that the only dung available will be from the people which is considered unclean (non-kosher) unlike cow dung which has been declared clean by dietary and cleanliness laws. God told Ezekiel to do this to show the people what kind of hardships they are about to face.

Ew, that's gross. I'm sorry God, but I think I'm gonna pass on any poop cooked food, whether it be cow or human poop. That's just nasty.
