Topic | Could multiple TV shows come together for a season and be successful? |
lightwarrior78 09/20/17 5:36:21 PM #14: | There's a lot of problems in the idea. Logistics for even small crossovers like the Arrowverse stuff prove difficult as actors can only work at certain times depending on their schedules, then over the long term, increases their workload as they have to cameo or guest in one or more shows while doing their own. For small bits they're kind of fun romps, but over a long term, it would probably lose more people than it gained. It's hard keeping up on one show these days, but when plot or character development is on another show, people tend to not try. The MCU is getting away with it now, but one day people will complain about having to see a new Iron Man movie to know why he's doing something in Avengers. As a tournament angle, I'd just be afraid they'd let audience voting or forum opinion to decide who wins. Then you get into trouble with home video releases and syndication rights and it all becomes a mess. The closest I think we'll get is if Flash and Arrow share a villain for their respective seasons, but are mostly kept separate for everything but the finale. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
