That's the only way I see this working. Apparently we've got toddlers as full adults in society now and I've already started padding out my ignore list for this board because these are not functional members of society. I realize this is a satire thread, but organically that's the outcome of this for any sane person.

I mean the 'it's my way or the highway' mentality. Like that other guy who was weaponizing his own attention 'you don't give me exactly what you want you go on ignore'. Fine then. Those are the terms being set. There's no discussion in these situations, and gradually over time when these interactions are played out and more people choose 'highway' you'll end up with two separate boards. The toddlers set the terms. Sane people pick the highway. Every time I encounter that from now on I'm picking the highway. The beauty of that is it ends up in a complete wash of a discussion, so whoever had more ground at the beginning maintains it when it's apparent there's no discussion to be had. Sane people aren't the ones that need to come to the bargaining table on this, so it's just ironic when it ends up that way.

if they can't handle a logically constructed argument with supporting source being thrown at them, they might as well ignore everyone but those who agree with them
not talking about nazi punch arguments because I haven't entered any of these, but ironically capitalism vs. socialism I think made some people mad enough to ignore me or stalk me calling me a shitposter
ofc they couldn't counter argue, they have to resort to other tactics
not that I am always right, but on that particular subject I noticed some users doing that
socialism and to that matter communism is a delicate topic on CE oddly enough
