Actually I'll leave Trump out of it. If you're a celebrity, the dumbest thing you can do is get political and automatically dismiss 60% of the country. That movie had no chance. Even The Rock made this mistake, and Baywatch bombed for it.
Everyone knows Lady Gaga's beliefs, but she kept them out of the halftime show. Her popularity exploded afterwards. It's not a cooncidence. People are tired of the 24/7 political nonsense and are starting to avoid it entirely. Hollywood just had its worst summer on record. Also not a cooncidence.
