The problem is that this strategy just straight up doesn't work in Maddening difficulty. Enemies won't target units they do zero damage to or have no chance to hit. So they just ignore her. Which means you have to manage her avoid to keep it low enough to not realistically get hit, because she gets ripped apart by basically anything, but not too high so she doesn't get ignored. And she'll do just insignificant damage with her low strength.

So she doesn't see a lot of combat or get kills, so she's really only leveling through Great Sacrifice spam and that's a pretty limited resource. So odds are she'll be completely out performed by Zelkov when you get him who just does Yunaka's deal better.

Now on Hard Mode, 0 Hit Dodge-tanking works and enemies are much less bulky so Yunaka's stock rises a ton. She'll still probably get outclassed by Zelkov when you get him though.

Fair enough. I didn't know Maddening had that different AI (I'm not good enough at FE to beat Maddening, Hard is about right for me) but that does make sense that she would be less useful if enemies would just straight-up ignore her.
