Not really shady IMO. Ten years ago, they had a game called Yogsventures kickstarted, but they didn't steal the money or anything. It was just genuinely mismanaged.

More recently, there was a massive sexual harassment situation. A relatively newer member named Caffcast was immediately fired for something we still don't have the full details of. As a result of that, people brought forward complaints for Sjin, one of their biggest content creators, and Turps, the CEO of the company. They hired an independent HR firm (or something like that) to do an investigation which led to both of them being forced to resign.

The only thing that might be considered shady in that situation is that Sjin had had some complaints years before that. Some people think they weren't taken quite as seriously as they should have been. Since then though, they've done a good job of taking things more seriously. Given that they're all more-or-less friends, I believe they still plan to use outside investigations for any complaints and Lewis, the main guy, even made sure there's a person you can report to if Lewis is the one you want to report.
