The key to deactivate the trap hung from a wire in front of the barrel of a shotgun located in an enlarged glass box. This wire was connected to the shotgun's trigger. The second person had to take the key. However, once it was removed, the shotgun would fire a shot at whoever stood in front of it. Saw is so stupid lol And in practice, you're able to avoid the gunshot anyway, but in the movie A SECOND GUY STUPIDLY STUMBLES IN FRONT OF THE BARREL AS THE KEY IS REMOVED AND DIES.
