Actually, come to think of it, our version of Super Mario Bros. 2 wasn't released until 1992 in Japan when it was retitled Super Mario USA. The first time most Japanese gamers got to see Bob-ombs in a Mario game was Super Mario Bros. 3. I wonder if that was a little weird to see. It'd be like if Kirby enemies suddenly showed up. It was kind of surprising to Western gamers to learn years later that SMB2 wasn't really a Mario game, but I gotta wonder what Japanese players went through since SMB2 never came out there.
