It really depends if you're thinking more about the actual impacts, or the underlying intent. Hamas wanting to commit genocide of Israelis is pretty well established; as is Israel (as in the govt / military, not citizens) wanting to do the same of Palestinians. If Hamas had the means to go bigger on Oct 7th, anyone who thinks they wouldn't have done so is delusional.
