Topic | Germany to enforce obligatory USB-C compatibility from 2024 |
Rika_Furude 10/27/23 4:31:21 AM #38: | I think at least early on there was an issue with power delivery as well. In that maybe some cables supported charging but not fully rated for 100W PD. Maybe thats also different these days years and years ago was when I bought a particular set of cables and I had to be very selective to be sure that they supported high speed data and 100W PD. As others mentioned it is probably better these days even for off-branded cables, but i doubt its a solved problem considering most people dont even buy cables and just use whatever comes packaged with what they buy I prefer buying higher end stuff myself, I do have quality cables laying around. But I do have cheaper shit as well and with those its a coin toss of what its cable supports. I have to remember where my good cables are and be sure not to lose them ... Copied to Clipboard! |
