This is w/ Hamas, which has probably prepared for this for years w/ all kinds of traps and ambush points, and who will ALWAYS hide behind civilians as shields. People are complaining about the bombardment and demanding Israel march in already. I guarantee they'll be whining 100x more if Israel ever actually does, and the soldiers who (shocker) don't want to die end up opening fire on any sudden movement, and "clear" a building by throwing a grenade in first. Many of the 1,500+ women who were killed were mothers or grandmothers who left behind sons, grandsons, brothers, cousins, nephews, husbands and/or friends who may want revenge. Many of the 2,000+ men who were killed were fathers who left behind sons, grandsons, brothers, cousins, nephews, husbands (do they allow that in Palestine?) and/or friends who may want revenge. Many of the probably 2,500+ kids who were killed had brothers, cousins, and/or friends who may want revenge. But most importantly, those kids left behind mothers and fathers who may want revenge. One angry mother or sister can steer many generations to Hamas, for example. Needless to say, Israel definitely just created a hatred unlike anything else they've ever created in Palestine this time. Yeah, the Palestinians sure didn't hate Israel already. Oct. 7th never happened. The decades of indoctrinating their children that Jews are evil never happened.
