There are changes actually, but it was more of an aside and not really pertinent to the main point or the reason HRT is used anyway. The other user I was replying to clearly has no idea what they're talking about and pulling thoughts straight out of their ass apparently.

People like them really have no place speaking about us or our healthcare, making incredibly ignorant statements / conclusions that followed on later.

Well however you want to spin it, the point was speaking to a larger conversation with respect to fighting misinformation and ignorance about trans people. Its common for some people to throw their hat into topics about trans people while they are not educated about us, our bodies, our healthcare, and what it means for the issues and how we approach them.

And hey, I understand they dont teach anything about us in public schools because the subject is taboo. So theres a lot of people still learning or operating on bad informations that give way to malformed opinions, which can be harmful. Misgendering us, subpar treatment in healthcare settings, policies and laws, etc.

This is exactly what I was saying earlier and this article's title and misinformation like it will lead to problems in communicating this issue. Even the author of the article clarifies that is doesn't actually change your DNA, even though they still chose to name the article that, which is not good. Here's a quote from the article:

"What that means in practice is that, while the core sequence of your DNA stays the samelike, the order that AGTC comes in doesnt changewhether your body notices and does anything about those thousands of genes does."

So again, not changing DNA, but changing gene expression. I think it's extremely important to be clear about these things when people get so passionate about them and that article, while interesting, is going to lead to more arguments and misunderstandings than actually helping people.
