Something I've been meaning to ask...when you guys see terrible stuff like TC, do you just treat it like "welp" and do your job? I'm not a first responder, but working in the OR for years and seeing the end result of many types of accidents, and now working in a cancer hospital, we absolutely use dark humor as a coping mechanism. I'm surrounded by death, and reminded of it constantly, so I've just developed a sort of numbness over the years. My uncle was a firefighter and him and his firehouse were the same way...nothing was sacred.
