This. You are supposed to brush after you eat to remove food. (and built up bacteria from the night) You should, but not right away. The suggestion is to do it 20-30 minutes after to let your enamel build back up. You better off rinsing with non-alcohol mouthwash or pop a piece of sugar free gum in your mouth directly after each meal. Best effort is to brush when you wake up/before you eat, and then brush/floss as the last activity before you so to bed.
