A country being designated as a MNNA doesnt make it a mutual defense pact, but rather a recognition of a deep military partnership. All that does is open the door for easier access to military and financial aid. Ukraine has nothing to do with it, and NATO has a pretty sensible policy of not accepting new members that are in a war.
