On paper and they appear average, but Moreno in the starting lineup/starting catcher they are 50-32, and without are 27-40, a full ERA point lower when he catches, and they score one more run per game with his bat. He is been in out and all year due to injuries. I think people forgot that the Dbacks, were neck and neck with ATL and LA for the first couple months of the year, then Dbacks got hit with injuries, including Moreno.

No idea about Philly last year, but this shit just happens because it's baseball. 83 win Cardinals team for instance.

I just don't think any amount of tweaking to the format is actually going to give anyone advantage outside of maybe making the series longer, but no one wants that.
