TopicShould Cenk from TYT run for President if allowed?

I can't imagine a scenario where I'd want anyone from TYT running anything of importance. Or anything at all, honestly.

Cenk has just announced his run for president

It's nothing more than a PR stunt, because he's not legally eligible to run. You have to be a natural born citizen and he's not. Even if every single voter in the US voted for him as a write-in, he still wouldn't be President.

It's the same reason why when people were talking about Arnold Schwarzenegger running for President years ago it was pointed out that you'd have to amend the Constitution first (which is almost certainly never going to happen). It's also the reason why people made a big stink about the exact details of Obama's birthplace (and wanting to see the birth certificate) - if they could prove he wasn't born on US soil, he was an invalid candidate.

Even John McCain took a bit of flack for that - people pointing out he wasn't physically born in the US (though his loophole was being born on a US military base, which counts as sovereign US soil no matter where it is).

Cenk running is about on par with when the Yippies nominated a pig for President. Or when people nominate Cthulhu. Or when Stephen Colbert nominated himself as a publicity stunt/charity campaign.
