also a lot of arabs are christians. there are christian palestinians, egyptians, syrians, lebanese, etc

also, I'm not saying ethnic or religious conflicts never happened. there isn't a single country out there where they never did. but the middle east was not an exceptionally hostile place to religious or ethnic multiculturalism. even the conversions to islam took centuries, gradually over the course of many generations. jews and other minority groups specifically left europe to take refuge in the middle east during the various crusades and pogroms in europe for example

Why dont you look at how many Jews were actually living in the Middle East, mainly Palestine, before 1884. Its easy to get along when one group is only 8% of the population and there arent that many to begin with.
