It feels fresh, unique and has an interesting story to tell. Season 2 is where all the fanservice gets dumped in and the actual interesting plot takes a back seat. We can't have a Star Wars story without recycling the same bunch of characters over and over. Remember Boba Fett? Remember Ahsoka?
