Yeah, probably. Everyone has different levels of what they expose their children to, or how they expose it to them, so I see no issue with at least letting the children and parents know beforehand that it's in the lesson plan. For example, in my school district, if there's something that could be deemed controversial or "triggering", we get a letter home before the lesson starts letting parents know what will be read, and that the text is available for them to review. I know for a fact that's what happened when my son had to read "Of Mice and Men" in 8th grade. and the same with the Diary of Anne Frank, because they had the children read the "uncensored" version. --- It takes zero effort to be a good person. ...
