DAs wouldn't even take a case for false accusations w/o such, because it'd be a waste of time/resources and get a bunch of public backlash. There is no justifiable reason, when you have fucking receipts like Bauer produced, to not go after the accuser criminally. Most cases can't be proven one way or the other, and for the exact same reason the conviction rate for rape is so low, the conviction rate for false accusations of it would be even lower. Trevor Bauer had his life destroyed, lost millions of dollars, and will NEVER fully restore his reputation, because there will always be dumb fucks that see he was accused and assume, "he must have done it, then". All while the accuser had fucking nothing to back her claims and a literal mountain of evidence against her. This shit needs to stop. ... Copied to Clipboard! |
