Topic	Lyft driver takes off with passengers cat. Claims to hate cats and can't find it

I don't get it, even if the driver thought there was valuables in the bag and sped off.... soon as he saw it was a cat carrier, obviously there's no loot to be had. Doesn't it make more sense to play dumb and pretend it was just an accident and return the cat at that point?
