Yeah so far it's the most middle of the road, safest, most predictable, serviceable, inoffensive, don't-take-a-stance-on-anything, baby's-first-story writing I've EVER seen in a video game. I'm not even disliking the game, but everything that's happened so far is so painfully obvious, and Aloy just instinctively knows everything that's happening to make sure the player knows what's happening.

The current day story isn't very interesting, but the story you piece together about the past is great.

Also, the game was better for me because it takes place where I live.
