When most people today aren't really ready to have planned pregnancies until they're 22 or older, what do you think would be the most likely outcome:

1) women gear their 'fertile years' (blech) for a 3 year window, which won't really work for...lots of reasons

or

2) kids are going to be taken advantage of and forced to conceive 'to save the human race'

It's gross. OP's not gross, just...a very gross unintended consequence of what is meant to be an innocent hypothetical.
Actually in this scenario, no one will be able to conceive, no matter what their age is. At least, not until the human population drops below 5 billion.

Would women still get their periods? Does menstruation stop, and then start up again?
I didn't think of that, but I can't see why they would in this scenario.
