SNES. It was clearly the better system, across many comparisons, like franchises, graphics, hell even sound quality. This one is tricky. Technically the Genesis has superior sound on a technical level, but if you aren't specifically designing your music for the FM synthesizer it has, it likely won't sound good. Meanwhile the SNES can use (low quality) samples, so it can do a low fidelity version of basically anything (technically you could do higher fidelity but the file size would be a problem). The result is most cross platform games sound much better on the SNES and even a lot of Genesis exclusives sound like shit due to not knowing how to use the FM synthesizer.
