It's been two decades since I bought a TV, I had no idea it had become so complicated! The last TV you bought was a CRT? Damn man, when was the last time you had a console? And you should still be able to hook up a TV to your computer to use as a 2nd screen. I've used Crunchyroll on a FireTV and it looked fine to me.
