The biggest issue is that the ending was rushed. Those various plot points work fine if they're fleshed out.

The books in general are better at making characters more grey and you've already kind of seen Dany being a little harsh, so her burning down King's Landing needn't be too wild.

Bran becoming the Three-Eyed Raven could just mean that he's sort of subsumed by Bloodraven's personality, so him becoming king is a 3D chess move to take control of Westeros.

Even Arya killing the Night King could be improved. Like even in the show, if she'd used her face swapping to hide as one of the wights to get close to him instead of doing a NANI?! anime leap, it would have been much improved. But the Night King also isn't even in the books, at least so far, so that might just be some shit they made up.

I think they did stuff like that so audiences would remember them.
