Let's say that Nintendo went for it - no regulator would let it pass considering the trouble that Microsoft had getting the Activision deal over the line - and it's still not done yet as the UK is blocking. The leaked mail also says that they're interested in acquiring Valve as well. Forget about US regulators, Japanese might not let it fly.
