It's nothing so personal or closely-considered as looking at the age profile of the site. Most of the time it's not even actual people - they just bot that shit. You generally set the automated system to do a mass-spam mailing, then wait to see if anyone bites. But they'd be monitoring the Snapchat account for bites, not the account they used to do the mailings.
