Nolan overall makes incredibly boring movies. The MCU has not dropped in quality since Endgame. Phase 4 is actually consistently the best one so far. People just suddenly got some weird new expectations. Coppola should not be remembered as one of the greatest directors of all time. You can count the number of movies people love on one hand and everything else he made is steaming crap no one remembers. Kubrick has twice as many classics with half the filmography. Rob Zombie's Halloween's are both really solid, people just try too hard to compare them to the original. Most of his movies are great.
