Trucks are bad, as they are rear-wheel drive. As a result, all the power is going to tires that have no weight atop them.

Weight essential for keeping the tires from slipping in the snow.

(Of course, you can just keep your truckbed filled with a few hundred pounds of dead-weight to avoid it... but that's a few hundred pounds of dead-weight. Meaning it'll kill the fuel economy on a vehicle already bad on fuel economy.)
