I think in hindsight Vince regretted choosing Steph/HHH over giving the company to Shane, he would have given Shane the company instead of selling the company, but he chose Stephanie instead... How much of that actually happened and how much of that was kayfabe though? Did he ever really have any intention to give the company away to his kids.
