They can just wait for Russia to cripple and indebt itself enough that they can then graciously offer an aid package of like $10 billion in return for the lands in Russia that used to be Chinese. Then they get to keep Russia as a subservient vassal state supplying raw materials and oil/gas w/o turning them into another bitter enemy on their doorstep. I legit think part of the reason they haven't helped Russia more, at least as big a part as not wanting to piss off the U.S., is b/c they want Russia to get to that point faster. Why give free aid when you can get something for it later when your "friend" is more desperate? "The U.S. would sanction us" is just a convenient excuse. :) ... Copied to Clipboard! |
