I think this is a keen observation.

At the same time, protesting needs to evolve with society. We live in a different world where standing outside of a building with signs isn't as effective as it used to be. People try new methods that seem to generally upset people in the wrong way.

Instead of fighting against the current, we, as a society, should try to be more creative in designing effective protest methods. I am not smart enough or educated in the right areas to conjure up those possible solutions, but I know there are people out there that can.

Yeah i dont want my post to be misconstrued as "protesting is always bad" its just that we cant start normalizing infringing on rights just because its a cause someone believes is important with zero checks & balances

The reddit blackout is an interesting (albeit ultimately ineffective) example of a more creative protest that was visible but didnt infringe on any rights

Strikes are an awesome example of effective protests that dont infringe on rights

Im sure there are others
